This week, a Wisconsin public institution fired its chancellor for sharing explicit recordings of himself and his spouse online.
The chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Joe Gow, who has served as its longest-tenured leader since the 1960s, was unanimously dismissed by the board of regents of the university system. The wife of Mr. Gow, Carmen Wilson, was also fired from her volunteer role as the chancellor’s associate.
The board, which is in charge of the 13 institutions in the system, was “alarmed, and disgusted, by his actions,” according to a statement from Karen Walsh, the president of the board. She would not elaborate on what the activities were.
